Cork IMTA host a varied number of competitions for both Maths and Applied Maths students, in conjunction with the IMTA and the IAMTA. These competitions include the Junior Maths Competition for 1st Year Students consisting of a school round and regional final. The Pi Quiz is for Junior Cycle Students and is held in Cork in March each year while Team Maths is for Leaving Cert Students and has a regional qualifiers along with a national final.

Teams Maths took place on Tuesday, 27th February in the SMA Hall in Wilton. There were students from all over Cork county for a fun day of Maths with lots of great performances by everyone.

Presentation Brothers College were the eventual winners with a very high standard from all schools.

Congratulations to everyone who took part in a great day.

The Pi Quiz took place on Pi Day (14th March) across a number of different centres across Cork. The winners of the Cork trophy for the top scoring team across all Cork centres was Christian Brothers College, Cork.
