Irish Mathematics Teachers’ Association (IMTA) is a national professional network of teachers involved in Mathematics.
There are over 5000 teachers of Maths in Ireland, teaching all levels.
The IMTA organises a number of activities, including quizzes and team events, student revision courses & seminars at low cost and support teachers by lobbying certain bodies, advising on change, delivering courses to teachers and reviewing examination papers.
Cork IMTA also supports teachers of Applied Mathematics. Nationally, teachers can join the Irish Applied Maths Teachers Association (IAMTA) at www.iamta.ie.
