In 2022, the Cork Branch of the IMTA created a bursary, in conjunction with UCC, to support UCC PME students who are studying to become mathematics teachers. Applications open every August for PME1 students.

Applications are now open for the 2025/26 cohort of PME 1 students pursuing a career in teaching Mathematics. Best of luck to all of those involved.

The 2024 recipient was Cathriona Kiely (pictured below). We congratulate Cathriona on her achievement and wish her the best of luck going forward with her career.
